was a child my grandmother would tell me about how, as a young woman, she
and her twin sister would draw things they loved and then embroider those
things onto anything they wanted. That concept was amazing to the child I
was, and really is no less amazing now. I want to share some of that
child's joy by illuminating something that gives me the same sense of
wonder that I had as a child.

up at the night sky. I have embroidered and illuminated the
constellations, both with light and image. Wherever possible, I have
brought forth the myth and wonder that circles overhead in the dark to
give us a link with both our past and our future.
